Butter Bases
Mantra Aromatherapy are pleased to offer our range of Butter Bases for retail.
Butter Bases are incredibly useful and versatile products.
Butter Bases can be used as rich and soothing massage mediums for hands on treatments, or can be powerful additions to natural face, body and hair care preparations.
Butter Bases will happily accept additions such as Essential Oils, Absolutes and Fragrance Oils, but can also be used as stand alone products when nourishing the bodies skin.
Some Butters have delightful aromas, such as the rich and chocolatey fragrance of Cocoa Nut Butter, and all are excellent choices to enrich, hydrate and soften dry and dehydrated skin types.
Most Butter Bases are solid or semi-solid at room temperature, and are easily liquified for hands on massage by holding them in your hands for a few moments before application to the body.
When using Butter Bases in natural skin, hair and body products a brief warming in the microwave on its lowest setting or over a gentle heat source will make them easy to use.
Please note - when heating Butter Bases only a very gentle heat is required and take care not to overheat as the quality of the product may be lessened. When heating any product only do so very gently to prevent the risk of burning.
