Oil taken from - Sea Buckthorn Berries.

Extraction Method - Cold pressed.

Colour - Dark red-brown.

Aroma - Cold Pressed Sea Buckthorn Carrier has a very mild and gently musky aroma, making it an excellent choice for Aromatherapy massage as its own aroma does not distract from the aroma of the blend being prepared.

Absorption rate - Medium absorption rate into the skin.

Traditional uses for Cold Pressed Sea Buckthorn Carrier include -

Good for all skin types especially dry and mature skins in need of extra nourishment. This is provided by Sea Buckthorn's high index of fatty acids, and its impressive levels of polyphenols (anti-oxidants) and Vitamins A, C and E.

The antioxidant content helps combat premature aging and skin damage from the sun, it also smooths and nourishes the skin, helping it appear youthful and fresh.

It is lovely addition to hair conditioners and masques to improve the strength and shine of the hair, and makes dry and brittle hair feel more smooth and conditioned.

Use as a massage medium for hands on massage and as a Carrier Oil to dilute Essential Oils into.

Cold Pressed Sea Buckthorn Carrier Oil -

Can be used as a stand alone carrier/massage medium or can have other carrier oils added to it - between 10-30% addition of other carriers is acceptable to enrich and enhance the therapeutic qualities of the massage medium.

Product Safety -

Always store pure Carrier Oils in an upright position with their cap firmly secured in place.

To maximise the shelf life of any Carrier Oil it should be stored out of direct sunlight, in a cool, dry environment.  - A medicine cabinet is ideal or Carrier Oils can also be refrigerated* to prolong their shelf-life. 

*Please note that some Carrier Oils will become more viscous and/or solidify if stored below room temperature and will remain so until gently brought back up to room temperature.

Carrier Oils should never be -

taken internally,

never be put in or near the eyes nor put on areas of damaged or inflamed skin. 

they should be stored away from children and used with caution around babies, small children and pets.
